Maps & Charts

There are two very accurate Bathymetric maps for Great Salt Lake. The first one is for the more navigated south arm (Gilbert Bay). The other is for the remote north arm (Gunnison Bay). Great Salt Lake Yacht Club sells navigation charts for the south half of the lake.

Anchorages and GPS Coordinates

There are many great anchorages on the Great Salt Lake. Some are well protected but others leave you exposed to sea conditions. Exploring the Great Salt Lake can be a wonderful adventure. Please keep in mind that much of the land is private so please seek permission from the owners before going ashore. The Bombing Range should never be approached. Hat Island and Gunnison Island are off limits.
