Marina & Lake News
COVID19 is still upon us. Please practice safe recreational practices. Great Salt Lake State Park and Marina are still open during COVID19 but masks MUST be worn inside all buildings and when safe social distancing (6 feet) cannot be maintained outside.
What started out as a great winter ended with a tragic spring with some record low rainfall. This means the lake is not going to come up as much as hoped. This means we will probably bottom out this fall with a lake level around 4192.7 which is about 4/10ths of a foot lower than last fall. It will mean the sailing season is going to be short for many boats.
National Weather Service is predicting we will have a hotter-than-normal and dryer than normal summer. This does not bode well for a long sailing season. It is also possible, if we have another bad winter, that we will be faced with pulling all or most of the boats in the spring of 2021. Keep posted.
